I&#039;ve been trying to find how to compile a module swf in FlashDevelop and even I found the ctrl + F8 to compile current document, it always output the swf to the project root directory which was not where I wanted it to be. I need to move the output module swf from project root to deploy/modules every time I recompile it! Your post helped me a lot.

Just a note. I used to think I have to use a .as instead of a .mxml file to put the @mxmlc directive in the &quot;class file&quot; of the module. But later I found that you can also put the @mxmlc directive in the  block in a .mxml file.
